Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to work on shift in our manufacturing facility in line with regulatory and ISO standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, installing, and repairing equipment to ensure smooth operational processes. Duties
- To carry out the most appropriate and effective repairs to electrical & electronic equipment in line with engineering standards and legislative requirements (ISO Standards, Current Electrical Wiring Regulation Certification etc.)
- To carry out test and inspection of electrical & electronic equipment in line with testing timetables.
- To maintain stock spares to the agreed levels to provide continuous running of all essential electrical & mechanical plant and equipment
- To support the Planned Preventative Maintenance system, ensuring actions are completed in line with requirements.
- To carry out in house calibrations in line with company policies and procedures .
- To assist in installation and maintenance of engineering projects.
- Contribute to engineering/electrical and instrumentation drawings and documentation.
- To assess the risks associated with all work carried out and take adequate precautions.
- To preserve product quality by considering the opportunities for product contamination and product failure; taking appropriate control measures to prevent defects occurring.
- To drive for a proactive maintenance system in order to decrease reactive maintenance downtime.
Requirements
- Time served Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent.
- Current Electrical Wiring Regulation Certification desirable.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment to challenging deadlines.
- A background in manufacturing is essential, though experience in an electrical cable manufacturing environment would be a distinct advantage.
- Experience of electrical maintenance and installation preferably in a heavy engineering environment.
- Knowledge of AC drive control systems.
- Ability to read electrical drawings/schematics.

Pay: £37,000.00-£41,000.00 per year
