This is an exciting opportunity to join our Occupational Health and Wellbeing Unit at a pivotal stage in its continued development. With the introduction of a new Occupational Health system, alongside the recent launch of an Employee Assistance Programme and wellbeing app, the University is investing in a more proactive, visible and integrated approach to staff health and wellbeing.
The postholder will have a real opportunity to shape the future direction of the service, building on the expertise within the team and developing new initiatives that support staff wellbeing, organisational resilience and effective management practice. This is a role for someone who wants to combine specialist occupational health expertise with strategic leadership, service development and the chance to make a meaningful contribution to the staff experience across the University.
The successful candidate will be a specialist occupational health nurse with current NMC registration and significant occupational health experience, ideally gained in a leadership or managerial role. They will bring sound professional judgement, credibility and confidence in specialist practice, with the ability to lead a small specialist team, build trusted relationships across the organisation, and provide clear, balanced advice and high-quality reports.
