We are a friendly, family-run sound engineering company based in Marks Tey, specialising in PA system hire, sales, and installations for a wide range of customers including schools, churches, village halls, businesses, local authorities, and event organisers.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a reliable and organised Office Assistant to join our team and support the day-to-day running of the business.
About the Role
This is a varied and rewarding position that would suit someone who enjoys administration, customer service, and being part of a close-knit team. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office and supporting our engineers and office manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Answering incoming telephone calls and directing enquiries
- Responding to customer emails and general correspondence
- Preparing quotations, invoices, and purchase orders
- Scheduling engineer visits, installations, and equipment deliveries
- Maintaining customer records and filing systems
- Assisting with stock control and supplier orders
- Liaising with customers, suppliers, and contractors
- Managing office supplies and general administrative tasks
- Processing incoming and outgoing post
- Updating spreadsheets and company databases
- Assisting with social media and marketing administration
- Supporting the business directors with general office and business administration
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- The ability to prioritise tasks and work independently
- A professional and friendly telephone manner
- Experience using Xero system
- Previous office administration experience (preferred but not essential)
