Overview
We are seeking a passionate and creative Gelato Artist to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a flair for food presentation and enjoy crafting delicious, visually appealing gelato treats, cold and hot drinks. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where culinary skills and customer service come together to create memorable experiences. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing, serving, and showcasing our range of gelato flavours with professionalism and enthusiasm.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of gelato flavours, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation, together with our delicious Waffles and Crepes.
- Assist in the creation of new gelato recipes and flavour combinations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the gelato preparation area in accordance with food safety standards
- Engage with customers to provide friendly service, answer questions about products, and offer recommendations
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when replenishment is required
- Ensure all food preparation complies with health and safety regulations
- Contribute to the visual display of gelato displays to attract customers and enhance the shop’s aesthetic appeal
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations
- Take part in the delivery of products as they arrive from our Gelato production facility.
Qualifications
- Experience in food production, food preparation or culinary roles is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards within a kitchen or restaurant environment
- Previous experience in a bakery, café or restaurant setting is advantageous
- Skills in cooking, baking, or other kitchen-related activities are highly desirable
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail in food presentation
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Enthusiasm for culinary arts and a keen interest in creating delightful gelato experiences
- Prepare all orders as per request adhering to Amorino guidelines.
- Opens, closes, and keep the smooth running of store operations
- Ensures the proper receipt of product deliveries
- Conducts inventory and restocks
