Mathnasium of Reigate is looking for enthusiastic, engaging and confident Maths Instructors to join our team as we open our new learning centre in Reigate.
At Mathnasium, we believe that every child can become confident in maths with the right support. Our approach is designed to make maths make sense, helping children build strong foundations, develop problem-solving skills and, most importantly, enjoy learning.
We are looking for bright, positive people who genuinely enjoy working with children and can bring energy and enthusiasm to every session. Whether you already have teaching or tutoring experience or are looking to develop your skills, you will receive training in the proven Mathnasium Method™ and ongoing support from our team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a brand-new centre from the very beginning and become an important part of the Mathnasium of Reigate community.
Responsibilities
- Work with children of different ages (4 -16 years old) and abilities in a positive and encouraging learning environment
- Provide personalised support based on each learner's individual learning plan
- Help learners build confidence, motivation and a genuine understanding of maths
- Deliver engaging maths instruction using the Mathnasium Method™
- Celebrate progress and make learning maths enjoyable
- Work closely with the Centre Manager and wider team to provide an excellent experience for every learner
- Communicate professionally and positively with parents and carers
- Maintain accurate records of learner progress and session outcomes
- Follow all Mathnasium safeguarding, health and safety procedures
- Contribute to the positive, welcoming and energetic atmosphere of our new Reigate centre
- Take part in ongoing training and development, with opportunities to take on additional responsibilities as the centre grows

A strong level of maths is essential. A Higher Education qualification, or current study towards one, is desirable. Previous teaching, tutoring or Mathnasium experience would be an advantage, but is not essential as full Mathnasium training will be provided.

This position involves regular contact with children and constitutes regulated activity relevant to children. Safer recruitment procedures will therefore apply, including right-to-work checks, references, appropriate pre-employment checks and an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and Barred List check.
