Job Description: Practice Manager (CQC Registered Manager)
Job Summary
We are seeking experienced and highly organised Dental Practice Managers to oversee the daily operations of our dental clinics at the following sites: Market Drayton, Birmingham and Dudley. The successful candidates will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring excellent patient care, and maintaining the financial health of the practice. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a professional with strong leadership skills and a background in management within a healthcare setting. The ideal applicants will possess supervisory experience and a comprehensive understanding of human resources and financial management.
The ideal candidates will be GDC registered

The post holder will be required to register as the CQC Registered Manager
Hours 8.30 am - 1 pm, 2 pm - 5.30 pm (40 hours per week)
Duties
- Supervise and support dental practice staff, including receptionists, dental assistants, hygienists, and dentists
- Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth workflow and high standards of patient care
- Manage appointment scheduling, patient records, and clinical documentation
- Implement and monitor practice policies in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Handle financial tasks such as billing, budgeting, and expense management
- Recruit, train, and evaluate staff performance
- Coordinate human resources activities, including staff scheduling, payroll, and staff development programmes
- Maintain inventory levels of dental supplies and equipment
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and infection control protocols
- Foster a positive working environment that promotes team collaboration and professional growth
Qualifications
- Proven supervisory experience within a healthcare setting
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively
- Knowledge of financial management principles applicable to medical practices
- Experience in human resources including recruitment, training, and performance appraisal
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining high standards of patient care
- Relevant qualifications in healthcare management or business administration are desirable but not essential
