Full job description.
We are currently looking for multiple Machine Operators to work across our wood recycling sites based in the West Midlands
The successful candidates will be involved in the production of biomass fuel, as well as other wood-chip based products using shredders and screeners.
Responsibilities.
- Carry out daily walk round checks of the plant you are to be operating paying particular attention to fluid levels, greasing, and dust build up, including any other safety related items.
- Informing your Operations Manager/Supervisor of any defects that need attention.
- Use the machine to load vehicles, ensuring they are loaded with the correct material and to the correct weight.
- Assist in managing site compliance such as product stockpiles, ensuring that maximum allowable dimensions are not exceeded.
- In house training will be provided for site machinery such as shredders and screeners.
- Undertake all reasonable instruction given to you by your line manager and/or other site and senior company management.
- General housekeeping, keeping your work area as tidy as possible, ensuring the safety of yourself and others
- Follow all Company policies and procedures and abide by all applicable legislation whilst carrying out your duties.
Qualifications/Required Attributes.
- Experience of operating wheeled loading shovels, 360 tracked Excavators, Telehandlers, and FLT's (Tickets essential for Loading Shovel & 360 Excavator)
- An ability to follow direction.
- An awareness of mechanical operations.
- Good timekeeping and reliability.
Salary and Working Hours.
- 46.5 hours per week on a Rota basis between 06:00- Midnight
- £32,643 to £35,061 per annum, dependent upon experience.
- Late shift bonus
- Additional hours may be required when special tasks or orders need to be completed.
- Additional hours paid at time and a half.
- 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.
