Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pre-School Room Leader Level 3 or above to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of early years practitioners, ensuring high standards of care and education are maintained at all times
- Plan, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate activities that promote children’s development across all areas including social, emotional, physical, and cognitive skills
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and confidence among children
- Build strong relationships with families through effective communication, regular updates, and collaborative planning for each child's individual needs
- Ensure compliance with all safeguarding policies, health and safety regulations, and statutory requirements within the nursery setting
- Support staff development through mentoring, training opportunities, and performance reviews
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and other documentation as required by regulatory bodies
Requirements
- Level 3 or above qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner) or equivalent
- Proven management and leadership experience within a nursery or preschool environment
- Extensive experience working directly with children in early childhood settings
- Strong understanding of child development principles and early learning frameworks
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively liaise with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism, patience, and enthusiasm in a busy childcare setting
