Responsibilities
- Operate Class 2 Jet Vac and vacuum tankers to clean, clear, and maintain drainage systems.
- Travel to residential, commercial, and industrial sites as part of a two-person team to deliver high-quality service.
- Safely operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to remove blockages and restore flow.
- Record job details accurately using company systems and equipment.
- Carry out diagnostics, minor repairs, and inspections of drains and related infrastructure.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain clear communication with clients on-site.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks, maintain vehicle stock levels, and ensure equipment is clean and ready for use.
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures, including correct PPE use, safe site setups, and manual handling techniques.
- Dynamically assess risks upon arrival at each site and adapt work practices accordingly.
- Support colleagues and assist in training and mentoring where required.
- Report any defects, hazards, or equipment issues promptly to management.
- Represent Quest Waste Management professionally at all times, upholding company values and standards.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by management.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence (maximum of 6 penalty points).
- Driver CPC (required)
- Tachograph Card (required)
- Valid CSCS card (or willingness to obtain).
- Keen interest in drainage, waste management, or related utilities sectors.
- Practical, hands-on attitude with the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Basic IT skills and a positive approach to learning new systems and processes.
