We are now looking for a friendly, reliable, and motivated Customer Advisor to join our busy Royal Wootton Bassett store team.
This is a role where customer service, teamwork, product knowledge, and attention to detail are all important. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, can stay calm under pressure, and takes pride in providing excellent customer service.
As part of the role, team members work towards becoming qualified Stop Smoking Practitioners, helping customers make informed choices and supporting them on their stop smoking journey.
About the Role
This is a varied and hands-on retail position within a busy store environment.
You’ll be supporting customers with vaping products and accessories, assisting with deliveries and stock handling, maintaining high store standards, and helping the store operate efficiently day-to-day.
The role requires flexibility, as shifts are worked across 6 days including Saturdays. Due to the needs of the business, fixed working days cannot be offered.
This role would suit someone who enjoys a busy retail environment, has a positive and approachable attitude, is reliable and flexible, is comfortable being on their feet throughout the day, can work efficiently as part of a team, and is willing to learn and develop product knowledge.
Working Pattern
- 24/32-hour contract (Either Available)
- 3/4 working days over 7 (Either Available)
- Saturday availability is essential
- Shifts typically consist of: (Mon-Sat) 08:40-17:40
- Flexibility is required to work across up to 5 days where required, to cover holidays.
- Fixed working days cannot be offered due to the operational needs of the business
Key Responsibilities
- Providing excellent customer service and product support
- Advising customers on vaping products and stop smoking options
- Working towards the company’s Stop Smoking Practitioner qualification
- Operating tills and processing transactions accurately
- Supporting Challenge 25 and age-verification procedures
- Receiving and unpacking internal stock deliveries
- Assisting with stock replenishment and merchandising
- Maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards within the store
- Supporting accurate stock handling and rotation
- Using company systems and completing operational tasks where required
- Working collaboratively with the wider retail team

- Comfortable being on your feet for extended periods
- Comfortable with bending, lifting boxes, and general stock handling
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Previous retail or customer service experience is desirable
- Previous vaping knowledge is helpful but not essential
- Interest in helping customers stop smoking
- Full UK driving licence preferred to support flexibility covering other local stores where required
