Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist Manager/Long Term Locum to oversee pharmacy operations and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive pharmaceutical knowledge, and a commitment to patient safety. In this role, you will manage daily pharmacy activities, supervise staff, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize medication management and patient outcomes. Duties
- Lead and coordinate pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Supervise pharmacy staff, providing mentorship, training, and performance evaluations to foster a professional team environment.
- Oversee medication dispensing processes, ensuring accuracy in medication administration and patient safety protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to review prescriptions, provide medication counseling, and optimize therapeutic outcomes.
- Ensure proper inventory management of pharmaceuticals, including procurement, storage, and documentation of controlled substances.
- Implement quality assurance measures to uphold safety standards and improve service efficiency.
Qualifications
- Valid registration as a licensed pharmacist with GPhC.
- Proven experience in pharmacy management or long-term locum roles within healthcare settings.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively while maintaining high standards of professionalism.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with healthcare professionals and educating patients on medication use.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with pharmaceutical advancements.
- Ability to provide all vaccinations such as flu, Covid , meningitis, travel vaccines etc
