We’re b4b - an independent full-service, AI native digital marketing agency based in Poole, Dorset, partnering with clients across a wide range of sectors to deliver smart, creative campaigns that drive real business results.
We’re looking for a Social Media Specialist to lead and manage full organic social campaigns for our clients, with hands-on experience of UGC and influencer activity, and some working knowledge of supporting paid social campaigns.
This is a key hire for us and we’re looking to fill the role urgently.
About b4b
At b4b we blend strategy, creativity and technical know‑how to deliver integrated marketing campaigns for ambitious brands. Our services span social media, video, content, web, AI and paid advertising, and we position ourselves as long‑term growth partners rather than “just another agency”.
You’ll be joining a collaborative team where social, media and creative sit closely together, with the freedom to shape standout organic campaigns and the support of specialists across design, video and paid.
The role
As Social Media Specialist, you will own and lead day‑to‑day organic social activity across a portfolio of clients, working primarily across Meta, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn and other relevant platforms. You’ll be responsible for planning, creating and optimising content that builds communities, drives engagement and supports wider marketing and commercial objectives.
You will also play a key role in UGC and influencer campaigns, from creator sourcing and briefing through to content approvals and performance reporting, aligning activity with each client’s brand and goals. Alongside this, you’ll bring some understanding of paid social so you can collaborate effectively with our paid specialists and contribute to integrated campaign plans.
Key responsibilities
- Lead organic social media strategy and execution for a set of clients, including content planning, copywriting, asset briefing and publishing across key platforms.
- Manage always‑on social calendars, ensuring content is on‑brand, timely, and aligned with each client’s wider marketing and commercial priorities.
- Run UGC and influencer campaigns end‑to‑end: identifying suitable creators, managing outreach, briefing deliverables, coordinating approvals and tracking performance.
- Build and nurture online communities through proactive engagement, moderation and smart use of platform features such as stories, lives and comments.
- Work closely with our in‑house creative, media and paid teams to deliver integrated campaigns and ensure organic and paid activity complement each other.
- Use native analytics and third‑party tools to monitor performance, report on results and make data‑informed recommendations to improve future content and campaigns.
- Stay on top of platform trends, formats and best practice, bringing new ideas into client strategies and spotting opportunities for reactive and UGC‑driven content.
- Support the development of junior team members, sharing best practice and helping to refine processes across our social offering.
What we’re looking for
- Significant experience in a social media role, ideally within an agency environment, with a strong track record of planning and delivering organic social campaigns.
- Proven experience running UGC or influencer campaigns, from sourcing and managing creators to reviewing content and reporting back to clients.
- Confident across major social platforms (Meta, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube) with a clear understanding of what works where and why.
- Strong copywriting skills and an eye for thumb‑stopping content, with the ability to brief and collaborate with designers, videographers and editors.
- Some working knowledge of paid social (Meta ads and ideally other platforms), sufficient to collaborate with paid specialists and understand how organic and paid can work together.
- Comfortable using scheduling and analytics tools and turning data into clear, actionable insights for clients and internal teams.
- Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple brands, deadlines and stakeholders at once without losing detail or quality.
- A collaborative, client‑focused mindset, with the confidence to present ideas, explain rationale and build strong relationships.
- Full UK driving license and ability to travel to client meetings and content shoots.
Benefits and working pattern
- Full‑time role based at our Poole office with hybrid working available.
- Competitive salary, depending on experience.
- Company pension and employee benefits.
- Discounted David Lloyd gym membership.
- Apple laptop and mobile phone.
- Staff discount and benefits scheme
- Supportive, creative team environment, with opportunities to shape our evolving social and UGC offering.
