Role overview:
We are currently seeking a motivated, courteous and professional delivery driver / store person to join our team. We are looking for someone with high standards, a positive attitude and have the ability to adapt to our highly customer-driven environment.
The majority of driving is a set route/time across the week and all delivery locations are generally within 1 hour from our facility.
Dealing predominantly within F1 motorsport we understand the importance of meeting customer deadlines whilst always maintaining a high standard of customer service and strict control of the security of goods collected, transported and delivered.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Organisation of deliveries in a prompt and efficient manner ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed.
- Loading and unloading of own vehicles.
- You will assist with the final stages of part processing including but not limited to; clean-up, wrapping, labelling, packing items before taking them on delivery.
- To maintain good customer relations by being presentable, courteous and helpful at all times.
- Responsible for ensuring paint consumable stock levels are monitored and maintained across the facility.
- Collate daily order requirements for office staff to procure.
- Check deliveries of consumables and put away stock (book in and out).
- Oversee the vehicle fleet including but not limited to; ensuring all vehicles are always fueled/charged and ready for use and ensuring general cleanliness and upkeep of the vehicles.
- Assist with any general housekeeping requirements around our facility such as emptying waste bins, dusting, sweeping floors, and using floor cleaning machine.
- Safe handling and transportation of heavy, fragile composite parts in line with manual handling procedures.
- Support the Workshop Team when required.
Essential Requirements:
- Must hold a clean valid UK Driving License.
- Must have held a driving license for at least 12 months.
- Due to the type of vehicles in our fleet, applicants must be 25 or over.
- Candidates should also have their own transport as there is no public transport link near to our site.
- Our current fleet comprises of a LWB 3.5t VW Crafter, and also two electric vans so experience of driving these vehicle types is advantageous, but not essential.
