Job Summary
We are looking for a 2-man grab team to work on our Thames Water mains replacement contract in the London and Thames Valley areas. The lorry will be parked on Codham Hall Farm in Great Warley, at the M25/A127 junction. Usual working hours are 6am-4pm, with additional overtime and weekend working available. Accommodation can also be provided when covering projects further afield.
Duties
- Backfill and muck away on live water mains replacement projects
- Occasional delivery of concrete and tarmac to support other reinstatement gangs
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
- Complete all required compliance paperwork, including daily vehicle defect check sheets, daily HAVS forms and risk assessments, daily job sheets, and weekly plant checks
Qualifications
- HGV class 2 licence with in-date CPC and digital tacho cards (required)
- NPORS/ALLMI/CPCS grab bucket lorry loader qualification (required)
- NRSWA operative ticket (required, at least one in team)
- EUSR SHEA Water (desired)
- National Water Hygiene (desired)
- Experience working on highways/streetworks sites, and using small plant such as trench rammers, water pumps, and Clegg impact hammers is desirable.
Pay: £320.00-£380.00 per day
