Overview
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Nursery Cook/Housekeeper to join our vibrant team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals for children, maintaining a clean and safe nursery environment, and supporting the overall well-being of our young learners. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a warm, welcoming space where children feel cared for and valued.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook healthy, age-appropriate meals and snacks in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards
- Ensure all food preparation areas are clean, organized, and sanitized regularly
- Assist with serving meals to children in a friendly and efficient manner
- Maintain cleanliness of nursery kitchen
- Follow food safety regulations and document food storage, handling, and preparation procedures
- Support daily housekeeping tasks to ensure a tidy, safe environment for children and staff
- Collaborate with team members to promote a hygienic and nurturing atmosphere
Qualifications
- Experience in food preparation or cooking, preferably within childcare or similar settings
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is highly desirable
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills with a proactive approach to cleanliness and safety
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude toward working with children and team members

Pay: £25,420.00-£30,000.00 per year
