Pharmacy Assistant / Dispenser
Dalesway Pharmacy – Bingley, BD16 4RP
Part-time | 22 hours per week
£12.71–£13.50 per hour, depending on experience
We are looking for an experienced and qualified Pharmacy Assistant / Dispenser to join our team at Dalesway Pharmacy.
This is a varied role working across both the pharmacy counter and dispensary, supporting patients and the wider pharmacy team throughout the day.
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
✔ A recognised pharmacy dispensing qualification
✔ A minimum of 2 years' experience working within community pharmacy
✔ Excellent timekeeping and reliability
✔ Confidence working in both the dispensary and on the pharmacy counter
Experience using Titan PMR would be advantageous.
Working Hours
Monday–Thursday: 9:00am–1:00pm
Friday: 3:00pm–9:00pm
Potential additional Sunday hours: 10:00am–4:00pm
The Role
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Serving patients collecting prescriptions
- Helping patients with over-the-counter medicines and shop purchases
- Providing friendly and professional customer service
- Supporting the dispensary team during busy periods
- Unpacking and putting away pharmacy and dispensary orders
- Checking and reconciling invoices
- Chasing outstanding prescriptions
- Preparing prescriptions for collection
- Supporting NHS pharmacy services, including the Hypertension Case-Finding Service and taking patients' blood pressure
- Supporting the pharmacy team in delivering a professional, efficient and service-led pharmacy
