Job Title: Crisis Support Worker (Bank)
Location: Various across Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire
Salary: £16.25 per hour plus enhancements for weekends, nights and bank holidays (up to £26.25 per hour).
Contract Type: Bank / Casual / Zero hours
Working Pattern: All shifts are 12.5 hours
About You:
As a Crisis Support Worker, you will provide dedicated support to young people with severe challenging behaviours typically in residential settings, either as single occupancy, or dual/multiple occupancy.
You will need to be resilient, patient, committed and passionate about providing care to those often at their most vulnerable time in their lives.
Working as a team, you will provide effective and consistent support for young people working provide world class caring outcomes to the most vulnerable, whilst ensuring safeguarding is at the heart of everything you do.
Requirements:
To apply for our Crisis Support Worker role, you will need:
- At least 8 months experience as a support worker, health care assistant, or similar, working with significant challenging behaviour. This will be in either secure or residential settings
- Be certified and have significant experience in intervention training (such as PMVA)
- A strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with a good working knowledge of using IT equipment
