Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Salary: Grade E £26,403 - £28,598 fte (salary will be pro-rata)
Start date: September 2026
Contract: 8.30am -4pm Term Time only plus 2 weeks
Trinity School, part of the Newbury Academy Trust, is seeking to appoint an experienced and highly motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated support staff team. This is a varied and rewarding role, combining four days per week of direct classroom support with a day of dedicated responsibility for the administration, updating and strategic development of a year group’s Support and Achievement Plans (SAPs).

- have experience of in-class support in a mainstream setting
- have a secure understanding of SEND, including EHCPs, provision mapping and the graduated approach
- are highly organised, proactive and able to work independently to manage their own caseload and deadlines
- communicate confidently and professionally with students, families, teachers and external agencies
