We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various locations. Duties
- Operate a flatbed HGV Class 1 lorry in compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies
- Safely load, secure, and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and adherence to safety standards
- Conduct pre-journey vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules and optimise fuel efficiency
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with legal requirements
- Assist with loading and unloading when necessary, ensuring the security of cargo during transit
- Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid HGV Class 1 licence
- Prior experience operating flatbed vehicles is highly desirable
- Demonstrable driving skills with a clean driving record
- Delivery driver experience preferred, with good organisational skills and punctuality
- Knowledge of road regulations and safety standards relevant to large vehicle operation
