Job Description
Key4Life South-West Manager is a key role in working with some of the most excluded men in society. You will be responsible for delivering and managing the 7-step model, violence reduction programme, officer training, and key mentor training in the prisons and through the gate. Currently, the Key4Life re offending rate is currently 10% versus the government rate of over 50%, and the employment, education and training rate is at 60%, compared to the government rate of 17%. It is critical that the South-West Manager can continue to meet these targets, support the young men on the ground, support the team, meet funding requirements, as well as engaging with corporates and mentors.
Duties and Responsibilities
Delivery:
· Manage the South-West team, including some members with lived experience, ensuring all targets are met from funders, statutory bodies, prisons, and trustees
· Managing the day-to-day running of the South-West office and team
· Execute to a high level all delivery both pre-release and through-the-gate
· Ensure all young men receive comprehensive support and transition into employment, education and training within 8 weeks of the programme
· Overseeing support to all of our active mentors
· To recruit companies to provide work tasters, employment, and deliver workshops
· Writing reports and managing the research material to be provided to independent researchers
· Planning and executing weekly activities for the young men
· Organising events for our companies
· Overseeing the food cell van management (former prison van converted into a burger venture, which is taken to events)
· Required to travel to other areas of the UK, as well as overnight stay to support delivery in various prisons across the UK
Partnerships
· Maintain effective relationships with probation, prisons, local agencies and providers
· Liaise effectively with local partner organisations and other relevant agencies to ensure effective referrals and risk management of the participants
· Promote services at a local level, taking every opportunity to advertise positively the work of Key4Life.
Safeguarding
· Follow safeguarding processes and ensure all disclosures, causes for concerns or incidents are reported to the designated safeguarding officer.
· Ensure all risk assessments and activity risk assessments are carried out and updated where necessary
· Be responsible for the allocation of referrals and ensure caseload management structures are in place
· To ensure effective communication and liaison with partner agencies and local groups.
Skills
· UK driving license
· Experience working in the criminal justice sector
· Experience managing people and projects
· Ability to demonstrate that you can execute projects from beginning to end successfully

· Success in a task set by Key4Life:
Pay: £38,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
