Job Summary
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Cook/Chef to join our café team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality breakfast and brunch dishes, as well as homemade cakes/ pastries, working alongside a kitchen assistant. You will play a key role in maintaining smooth kitchen operations and ensuring excellent food standards. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in food preparation, home baking, and teamwork to demonstrate their skills and grow within a vibrant hospitality environment.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and quality standards
- Oversee food production processes to ensure efficiency and consistency
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate service times and menu offerings
- Assist in menu planning and development to enhance customer experience
- Ensure all food is presented attractively and served promptly to guests
- Uphold cleanliness standards within the kitchen environment at all times
- Working with the Cafe manager to maintain hight 5 Star standard
Requirements
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen setting, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality/ cafe
- Strong baking skills as well good homemade recipes
- Hands on and a team player
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Experience in food preparation, production, and serving processes
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
- Previous restaurant/cafe experience is Required.

Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
