Shift pattern: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
Shift times: 0830 – 1700 (1630 finish Friday)
Rate/Salary: £13.45 per hour
Job Description:
We have a new opportunity to join our team as a security officer for a local education client based in Beverley.
This role will be guaranteed full time hours during Term Time, cover may vary or not be required during college holiday periods.
Your daily work will help protect our client’s site, property and people including students, staff, and visitors, resulting in a very satisfying role with significant potential.
You will be the ambassadors for our client; one of the first people that visitors, students, and staff see on arrival, setting the tone and ensuring a safe and secure environment.
Please note - due to the site being an education facility, an Enhanced DBS will be required before the successful candidate can start working on site. This can be processed by the company if the successful candidate does not have one, however please bear in mind this can take up to 3 months to be processed.
Some of the duties will include:
· Monitoring access of student and checking student ID cards
· Providing a security presence around campus
· Meeting and greeting visitors
· Responding to incidents between students
· Locking and unlocking the site
· Assisting with first aid incidents
· Maintaining that all incidents are logged and reported
· Ensuring Health and Safety polices are adhered to

Security officer requirements:
· Valid Frontline SIA Licence
· Enhanced DBS Certificate or happy to go through the process.
· Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
· 5 year+ checkable work history in line with BS 7858
· Smart and presentable portraying a professional image
· Ability to write clear and concise reports
· Excellent time management skills
· A dynamic decision maker
