Job Description: Relief Milker (Weekends)
Location: South Cheshire, Estate
Reports to: Dairy Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and punctual Relief Milker to join our team on our estate dairies in South Cheshire. The position involves milking primarily Jersey cows using well-equipped Fulwood herringbone parlours, 48:48 and 22:22 Parlours. Experienced preferred. Open to local
Key Responsibilities:
- Milking Jersey cows according to the established routine, either as part of a team or independently.
- Providing exceptional care and attention to the cows.
- Cleaning and washing down milking areas thoroughly after each session.
- Adhering to farm policies, procedures, and hygiene protocols.
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Attention to hygiene and cleanliness.
- A positive, “can-do” attitude.
- Ability to follow set procedures and routines.
Desirable:
- Experience with cow signals and herd management.
- Experience working with dairy herds.
- Strong communication skills.
Pay & Benefits:
- Minimum £15 per hour for milkings, with the option to negotiate a flat rate per milking.

Weekend Options:
- Every other weekend: morning and afternoon milkings.
- Every weekend: morning and afternoon milkings.
- Midweek shifts may be discussed in the future but are not currently available.
