Overview
We are seeking professional HGV Class 1 Night Drivers with a Moffett training to join our team. Working on 2 contracts the role is based on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern 7 nights a week. the 4 on 4 off shift pattern allows for extra nights to be worked at overtime rates if desired. Moffett training can be given + nightly Moffett bonus paid £15.
Duties
- Conduct night-time deliveries across designated routes, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, with precision and care.
- Operate Moffett equipment to load and unload goods at various sites, ensuring secure handling of cargo.
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and vehicle logs.
- Perform routine vehicle checks before and after shifts to ensure roadworthiness.
- Follow planned routes efficiently, managing time effectively to meet delivery schedules.
- Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with clients and colleagues during all stages of the delivery process.
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence with a Moffett licence is essential.
- Proven experience in commercial driving.
- Demonstrable ability to operate Moffett forklift equipment safely.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for night driving.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and vehicle maintenance.
- Ability to work independently during night shifts, demonstrating reliability and professionalism.
Pay: £17.60-£20.60 per hour
