About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and flexible Warehouse & Food Production Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis.
This is a varied, hands-on role supporting our food production, packing, and distribution operations. You will help ensure customer orders are prepared accurately, packed to specification, and dispatched on time while maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and customer service.
The role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, can adapt to different tasks, and takes pride in delivering quality work.
Working Hours
- 18.75 hours per week
- Working across 2.5 days per week on a rotating pattern:
- 3 days one week
- 2 days the following week
- Alternate weekends are required
- Additional hours may be available to cover holidays, sickness, or business requirements.
- Uniform provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Pack delivery routes and prepare vans for dispatch.
- Support day-to-day food preparation activities as required.
- Pack food products into containers, foils, and boxes in line with specifications.
- Ensure all products meet company quality standards before dispatch.
- Follow HACCP procedures and maintain excellent food safety, hygiene, housekeeping, and health and safety standards.
- Support the maintenance of our SALSA accreditation requirements.
- Keep warehouse, production, and packing areas clean and organised at all times.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and managers regarding issues or concerns.
- Handle stock and materials safely, including regular lifting and moving of products.
- Work flexibly across different departments when required.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience within food production, catering, warehouse, or distribution environments is desirable.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a small team.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving stock safely.
- Organised, reliable, and punctual with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in temperatures of up to -18°C within cold storage areas.
- Flexible and willing to support different areas of the operation.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- A positive attitude and commitment to maintaining high standards.
