We are committed to delivering high-quality products that support healthcare providers, and we are looking for a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our growing team at our Castleford site.
Purpose of the role
As a Warehouse Operative (Nights), you will play a key role in supporting our warehouse and distribution operations. You will be responsible for ensuring stock is handled safely, accurately, and efficiently while supporting production and customer requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
- Completing goods-in activities, checking and storing incoming deliveries
- Picking raw materials and finished goods accurately
- Locating stock within the warehouse using VNA reach trucks
- Supplying the production team with materials as required
- Picking, packing, boxing, and labelling products ready for dispatch
- Operating warehouse management systems to record stock movements and maintain accurate inventory records
- Supporting shipping and receiving processes, including checking deliveries and preparing outgoing shipments
- Conducting stock checks and maintaining stock accuracy
- Completing quality checks to ensure products meet required standards
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Following all health and safety procedures, including safe manual handling practices
Skills and experience
Essential:
- Good understanding of written and spoken English
- Previous experience working within a warehouse environment
- Ability to work safely in a physically active role, including manual handling tasks
- Good attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards
Desirable:
- GCSE Grade C or above in English and Mathematics
- Previous experience operating a forklift truck
- Valid forklift licence
- Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS)
Please note: You will be required to work from heights as part of this role.
