We are looking for an experienced and motivated Mobile/Workshop Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a skilled technician with a strong background in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HGVs, trailers, and associated vehicle equipment, including tail lifts.
As a Mobile HGV Technician, you will play a key role in keeping our customers' fleets safe, reliable, and operating efficiently by delivering high-quality maintenance and repair services across your designated area.
A full, clean UK driving licence is essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, inspect, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults on HGVs, trailers, and heavy commercial vehicles.
- Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, inspections, and defect rectification to the highest standards.
- Use diagnostic equipment to accurately identify faults and recommend effective repair solutions.
- Repair and maintain vehicle accessories, including tail lifts and associated equipment
- Work efficiently to meet customer requirements while maintaining high levels of safety and workmanship.
- Ensure all work complies with current health and safety legislation, DVSA standards, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Complete job sheets and maintenance records accurately using electronic or paper-based systems.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked company van, including tools and equipment.
- Keep up to date with industry developments, new technologies, and best practices through ongoing training.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience working as an HGV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
- Strong knowledge of HGV mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and braking systems.
- Experience working on trailers and tail lifts is highly desirable.
- Confident using diagnostic equipment and fault-finding tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations and vehicle maintenance
- Professional communication skills with both customers and colleagues.
- Relevant HGV technician qualifications or industry certifications are preferred.
- Flexibility to work occasional overtime or weekends to support customer requirements.
