Studio 8 Hair and Beauty is a family-run business with mother and daughter at the heart of the business. We are typically open Tuesday to Saturday, 9am - 5pm with late nights available upon request of our clients. We offer a range of beauty treatments including: Nails, Waxing, Facials and more. We are seeking a professional and dedicated Beauty Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for enhancing clients' natural beauty through specialised treatments and personalised advice. This role offers an opportunity to work in a welcoming environment where customer satisfaction and high standards are paramount. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering a range of beauty services, ensuring clients leave feeling refreshed and confident.
Duties
- Perform customised beauty treatments including facials, waxing, and skincare routines
- Apply makeup for various occasions, ensuring a flawless finish tailored to client preferences
- Apply a range of nail enhancement techniques such as: acrylic, builder gel, nail art etc...
- Provide exceptional customer service by understanding client needs and offering suitable solutions
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all treatment areas and equipment
- Advise clients on skincare routines and product recommendations to promote ongoing care
- Keep detailed records of treatments provided and client preferences for future reference
- Stay updated with the latest beauty trends, techniques, and products to enhance service quality
Requirements
- Proven experience in makeup application and general beauty therapy services
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Professional attitude with a keen eye for detail and presentation
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings or weekends if required (with notice given)
Qualifications
- Relevant Level 3 in Beauty Therapy
- Private Qualifications CPD Recognised (Nails, Lash Extensions, Facials etc...)
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience in the beauty industry
You may be asked to bring all held certificates and a portfolio of work to an interview (dates to be discussed with candidates).
We would ideally be starting the right candidate on a 16 hour contract, but are hoping to offer more hours as they build and fill their own column.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
