Fluor is seeking a Senior Vehicle Operator to support Base Operations. The selected applicants will be responsible for operating vehicles requiring Category B, CE and D UK license.
This is a permanent position working a flexible weekly schedule.

Basic Job Requirements:
This post includes a variety of driving tasks within the UK. It is essential that applicants hold a current Category CE & D license with at least 4 years of professional driving experience.
- You will be required to sequence and plan schedule for all drivers
- You will support the dispatch of the Base fuel program
- You will support the vehicle reservation program and the tracking of metrics for said program
- You will be required to drive buses up to 55 passengers, passenger vans, trucks, tractor units with trailers and articulated lorries up to and including 45 tonnes.
- Candidate must be fully conversant with the loading/unloading of vehicles in terms of ensuring safe weight distribution and proper securing of the load preventing danger to themselves or other road users.
- This role will require collection of ridership and vehicle use metrics.
- You will need to ensure safe boarding and seating for safety-bar assisted standing of passengers.
- Variable hours of work are expected with some weekend/evening/early mornings. Overtime work will be occasionally required
- This role will require screening of bus passengers for proper Base identification
- This position will also require periodic on-call duties.
- This position will also require occasional overnight stays away from Harrogate with expenses covered by government allowances. In the event of weather emergencies, overnight stays on Base may be required
- You will be expected to fully understand and adhere to UK road traffic regulations and driving hours.
- This role also necessitates reporting any defects and carries the responsibility for refueling and cleaning vehicles.
- There is a requirement to maintain vehicle operator records and to complete appropriate paperwork in the event of an accident.
- Basic IT knowledge is desired, as some training is done online. There are occasional emails and wider communications that are presented electronically.
