Spa Therapist – The Middlewick, Glastonbury
Nestled at the foot of Glastonbury Tor, in 16 acres of gardens and orchards, The Middlewick is a family-owned resort with a genuine sense of place. Founded and run by Canadian owner Jill Barker, we're growing with real care and ambition, right in the heart of Glastonbury, long known as the "heart chakra" of the world, where ancient ley lines are said to converge, filling the town with a magical, healing energy. Wellness and healing sit at the very backbone of what we do here.
Alongside our 32 bedrooms, busy café and farm shop, we're home to a popular Day Spa, and we're looking for a skilled Spa Therapist to join our small, friendly team. This isn't a big corporate spa, it's an independent, family-run business where you'll be valued as an individual, not a number, and where your skills and personality genuinely shape the guest experience.
About the Role
You'll deliver a range of face and body treatments with skill, warmth and intuition, making sure every guest feels welcomed, listened to and completely at ease from arrival to departure. As part of our close-knit team, you'll help maintain our tranquil space and contribute to the calm, grounding atmosphere that makes our spa so special and so aligned with the healing energy Glastonbury is famous for.
What We're Looking For
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Beauty Therapy or Massage
- Confident delivering massage, facials, waxing, manicures and pedicures
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A friendly, positive attitude and genuine passion for wellbeing
- Professional and reliable, able to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work weekends and occasional evenings
Desirable
- Previous spa or salon experience
- Experience with natural or botanical skincare brands
- Additional qualifications in aromatherapy, reflexology or other holistic therapies
