Job Purpose
Design of Bulk Materials Handling machinery
Key Accountabilities:
1. Design of core machinery using 3D CAD (Autodesk Inventor)
2. Designs/ modifications to standard machinery to suit the clients particular site requirements and / or engineering changes as required
3. Creation of bills of materials for entry into the company's ERP system
4. Working with sales and development engineers to create new products from initial concept through to full production units
5. Value engineering of current designs
6. Use of DFM best practices to meet the needs of the production facility
7. Working with the production operatives to increase production efficiency through better machine design and the design of jigs and fixtures
8. Enhancing the customer satisfaction levels to be the major focus
9. Be forward thinking and raise new ideas and working methods to increase the department's throughput.
The Candidate
· High levels of quality standard are essential
· Have good attention to detail
· Ability to liaise with other departments as appropriate
· Be proficient in Microsoft Office products
· Have Autodesk Inventor experience or similar
· Industry experience preferred
· Design experience essential (minimum 1 year)
