Job Title: Purchase Ledger Clerk
Reporting to: Purchase Ledger Manager
Working Hours: Mon - Fri / 8am to 5pm / 1 Hour Unpaid Lunch
Salary: Meets National Minimum Wage
We have an excellent opportunity for a purchase ledger clerk to join our established team based at our Head Office in Strood.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Enter all invoices/credits onto the invoice/credit register.
- Scan invoices to Depots/Departments for clearance.
- Enter clearance details onto the invoice/credit from the scanner.
- Enter and code invoices/credits authorised for payment onto the computer ready for payment.
- Checking CIS payments monthly
- Checking IR35 Compliance
- Reconcile Statements.
- Raise cheques where required.
- Query invoices with Suppliers.
- Liase with Suppliers regarding payment of invoices.
- Filing correspondence received.
- Answer an overflow of calls from the switchboards and cover Reception in the receptionist’s absence.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Accounts experience preferred
- Good telephone manner
- Numerate and organised
- IT literate
