Account Manager
HEMS supplies specialist tooling for servicing and maintaining heavy machinery, the sort used in construction, mining, agriculture, oil and gas, and marine. We've been doing it for 20 years, we sell to customers and dealers in over 100 countries, and right now we're growing faster than we ever have.
That's why we need you. We're expanding the sales team and looking for someone to take ownership of our existing accounts, grow them, and bring in new business alongside. Office-based at our site in Chandlers Ford.
Why now is a good time to join
We're in a major growth period. New dealers coming on board, new territories opening up, and more enquiries than the current team can properly chase. That's a genuinely good problem, and it's the reason this role exists. You'd be joining at the point where there's plenty to go after and the wins are there to be had.
And because we're a small team, your results won't disappear into a spreadsheet somewhere. When you land something, everyone knows about it, including the CEO.
The role
Most of your time is looking after and growing the accounts we already have, both direct customers and major OEMs. Staying in regular contact, following up open and older quotes to get them over the line, handling repeat orders and renewals, and spotting where a customer could use more of our range. There's real revenue sitting in quotes that just need someone on them, so good follow-up genuinely moves the numbers here. You'll see the results of your work fast.
The rest is new business: working warm leads and enquiries and helping bring new customers and dealers on board.
Roughly 80% account management, 20% new business. You'll report to the Sales Manager and work alongside a small sales team, so you'll see how the whole business works, not just your patch. If you want to grow with us, there's room to.
What we're looking for
Some experience in sales or account management, ideally B2B. You're comfortable picking up the phone, staying on top of a lot of open conversations at once, and being the person a customer trusts to sort things out. Organised, good with follow-up, and motivated by targets.
You don't need to know our industry or our kit already. We'll teach you that. You do need to be curious enough to learn a technical product and confident enough to talk to customers about it. CRM experience is useful but not essential.
Package
£30,000 to £33,000, plus a 10% growth bonus paid on the growth of your accounts. The better your accounts do, the better you do. Full training on our products and the industry.
Pay: £30,000.00-£33,000.00 per year

- On-site parking
