Job Title: Seasonal Gardener

Contract Type: Seasonal 0-Hour Contract
Contract End Date: 30 September 2026
Reporting To: General Manager / Grounds & Maintenance Manager
Role Overview
As a Seasonal Gardener, you will assist in maintaining the hotel's gardens, grounds, flower beds, and outdoor areas, ensuring they remain attractive and welcoming for hotel guests, weddings, events, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Lawn mowing, edging, and general grounds maintenance.
Weeding, planting, watering, and caring for flowers, shrubs, and borders.
Hedge trimming and pruning of plants and trees as required.
Leaf collection and garden waste removal.
Maintaining pathways, patios, and outdoor guest areas.
Supporting seasonal planting projects and landscaping improvements.
Operating gardening tools and equipment safely.
Reporting maintenance issues, hazards, or damage to management.
Assisting with event preparation where outdoor areas require additional attention.
Requirements
Previous gardening, landscaping, or grounds maintenance experience preferred.
Good physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable, punctual, and flexible.
Knowledge of gardening equipment and safe working practices.
Right to work in the United Kingdom.
Working Hours
0-hour contract with no guaranteed minimum hours.
Hours offered according to business requirements.
Work may be required up to 7 days per week, including weekends and bank holidays.
Flexibility to accept shifts during busy periods is essential.
Pay
£12.71 per hour
