This is a locum Consultant post focused on general neurology and acute neurology cover. The postholder will participate in the neurology screening / daily clinic rota for new patients and will also have a weekly follow up clinic and a fortnightly remote clinic. The role will have a significant acute component providing a responsive Consultant led neurological service to A&E, SDEC and acute medical wards as well as TIA clinic cover. There may also be an opportunity to develop a sub-specialty interest in other areas of neurology and to run a weekly sub speciality clinic. There will be a requirement to play an active role in the general workload of the Department including teaching and training of junior medical staff.

Consultant cover for the acute neurology service - supervising the registrars in reviewing patients in ED, SDEC and the acute inpatient wards ensuring a timely and Consultant led service
Weekly subspecialty clinic / MDT meetings
