I'm currently working with a highly regarded, employee-focused multidisciplinary consultancy looking to appoint a Principal Maritime Engineer to join its growing Infrastructure Engineering team.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Maritime Engineer looking to take a leading role on technically challenging marine and waterfront projects while helping to shape the future growth of an ambitious engineering team.
You'll work on a diverse portfolio of projects including ports, harbours, waterfront infrastructure, marine assets and coastal engineering schemes, taking responsibility for technical delivery, client relationships and mentoring the next generation of engineers. Alongside project leadership, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to business development and play a key role in the continued expansion of the Maritime team.
The Role
As Principal Maritime Engineer, you'll be responsible for:
- Leading the technical delivery of maritime engineering projects.
- Managing multidisciplinary project teams from concept through to completion.
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Mentoring and supporting Engineers and Graduates.
- Reviewing and approving engineering designs and technical documentation.
- Managing project programmes, budgets and commercial performance.
- Supporting business development, tenders and client presentations.
- Working collaboratively across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
About You
We're keen to hear from experienced Maritime Engineers who can demonstrate:
- Chartered Engineer status (or working towards Chartership).
- Strong experience delivering maritime or coastal engineering projects.
- Excellent technical and project leadership skills.
- Experience managing clients and multidisciplinary teams.
- Commercial awareness and project management experience.
- A collaborative approach with a passion for mentoring and developing others.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
