Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Senior Carer/Team Leader to join our dedicated care team. In this vital role, you will lead and supervise care staff, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care to residents in a care home environment. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of care staff, providing guidance, support, and motivation to ensure excellent resident care
- Oversee the implementation and review of individual care plans tailored to each resident’s needs
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures within the care home
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to promote transparency and trust
- Assist with the training and development of staff to enhance their skills in senior care practices
- Conduct regular audits of care documentation, including medication records and incident reports
- Support the recruitment process by participating in interviews and onboarding new team members
- Utilize IT systems to update care records, schedule shifts, and monitor staff performance
Qualifications
- Proven supervising or leadership experience within a care home or senior care setting
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect empathetically with residents, families, and colleagues
- Knowledge of care plans development and implementation
- Valid driving license preferred for transportation needs or community visits
- Experience in managing or coordinating teams in a healthcare environment
- Familiarity with IT systems used for care documentation and scheduling
- Demonstrated understanding of health & safety regulations relevant to senior care

Pay: £25,837.00-£27,000.00 per year
