Job Summary
XYRESIC Pharmacy t/a Stone Pharmacy is an independent community pharmacy group committed to delivering high-quality pharmaceutical services and patient-centred care across its pharmacy branches. We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Pharmaceutical Technician to join our professional team and support the efficient delivery of pharmacy services.
Working alongside the Responsible Pharmacist, you will play an important role in the safe preparation and dispensing of medicines, stock management, regulatory compliance, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the accurate preparation and dispensing of prescriptions under the supervision of the Responsible Pharmacist.
- Receive, label, and process prescriptions using the Pharmacy Management (PMR) system.
- Maintain pharmaceutical stock, including ordering, receiving, storage, stock rotation, and stock reconciliation.
- Ensure medicines are stored and handled in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate dispensing, stock control, and patient records.
- Assist with the preparation of monitored dosage systems (MDS) where required.
- Respond professionally to patient enquiries and provide excellent customer service.
- Support the delivery of NHS and private pharmacy services.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant dispensary environment.
- Comply with GPhC standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), GDPR, Health & Safety requirements, and company policies.
- Assist with pharmacy audits, quality assurance activities, and other duties as required by management.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a pharmacy, healthcare, or regulated environment is desirable.
- Good understanding of medication handling and healthcare procedures.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Willingness to undertake training and continuous professional development.
- Relevant pharmacy qualifications are desirable but not essential; full training will be provided to the successful candidate.
