Overview
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals.
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, including engine work, brake replacements, and suspension adjustments.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to disassemble and assemble vehicle components accurately.
- Interpret technical diagrams and schematics to facilitate precise repairs and modifications.
- Carry out welding and equipment repair tasks as required to restore vehicle integrity.
- Assist with assembly of vehicle parts during manufacturing or refurbishment processes.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and fluid top-ups to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair work and maintenance procedures clearly to clients.
- Undertake heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle repair or maintenance.
- Strong familiarity with schematics, technical diagrams, and assembly instructions.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialised diagnostic tools.
- Ability to perform equipment repair and routine maintenance tasks efficiently.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in various positions for extended periods.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively.
- Experience working with automotive systems such as engines, brakes, suspension, and electrical components is desirable.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive technology or mechanical engineering are preferred but not essential.
