We are seeking an experienced Children’s Senior Support Worker to join our Ofsted Residential home within Walsall.
Senior’s will act as a key worker and become a positive role model who is able to offer advice, guidance and assistance where appropriate. Ability to work as part of a team is essential along with recording information accurately.
Our aim is to provide residential and community services that help restore stability in the lives of some of society’s most vulnerable children and young people.
Previous experience as a Senior / Team Leader is essential to this role.
The ideal candidate will:
- To provide high quality support to our Children and Young People based upon their needs and wishes using a person-centred approach.
- To act as a key worker for individual children where appropriate.
- To take the lead and guide staffing team in dealing with emergency or complex situations that may arise.
- To support our Children and Young People in undertaking activities or development in their own home and in the community, including employment, education, and other opportunities.
- To maintain records as required relating to Children’s daily activities and support provided.
- To assist with the drawing up of risk assessments relating to the Child or Young Person and the service to protect the health, safety, and welfare of all and to implement and contribute to the review of these.
- To liaise with external parties, Social worker’s and parents as required.
- To be responsible for the supervision of other Support Workers as required.
- Take responsibility for the effective and efficient running of shifts.
- A good understanding of Ofsted and the Regulation standards, how they are put into practice.
- Administer medication and complete room checks. (We offer training to be able to do this)
- To carry out regular checks at the homes during shifts to directly supervise staff and ensure the homes safety and quality of care is maintained to a high standard.

Enhanced Qualified rate payable for individuals who currently hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential or NVQ Level 4 Children and Young People
