Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and education tailored to the individual needs of each child, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Lead and manage a dedicated team of practitioners, ensuring effective teamwork and adherence to best practices in early childhood education
- Plan engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning through play and exploration
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment that complies with all health and safety regulations
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress, address concerns, and build strong relationships
- Support the professional development of team members through mentoring, coaching, and ongoing training
- Ensure compliance with childcare regulations, policies, and procedures at all times
- Knowledge of safe gaurding and understanding of how it is implemented to ensure the highest standard of care across the setting.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood setting
- Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare best practices
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to create engaging activities that support child development milestones
- Valid childcare or nursery qualification (e.g., Level 3 Early Years Educator or equivalent) preferred
