An Exciting Opportunity to Lead, Grow and Make Your Mark
We are looking for an experienced, passionate and dedicated Nursery Manager to join us at a particularly exciting time in our nursery’s journey.
Due to growing demand from families within our local community and further afield, we are currently extending our nursery provision. This expansion represents an exciting new chapter for us and creates a fantastic opportunity for the right Nursery Manager to come on board, bring fresh ideas and put their own stamp on the nursery as it continues to grow.
We are looking for someone who wants more than simply to manage the day-to-day running of a nursery. We want a confident and inspirational leader who is excited to put their knowledge, experience and leadership skills to the test, helping us shape the next stage of our development while maintaining the warm, nurturing and high-quality environment our children and families value.
You will have the opportunity to lead and develop an established team, influence practice and provision, contribute to the development of our expanding environment and help ensure that our nursery continues to be a place where children thrive, families feel valued and practitioners are proud to work.
Your Role
As Nursery Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the successful day-to-day operation of the nursery, balancing outstanding care and education with strong leadership, compliance and effective business management.
You will:
- Lead, inspire and motivate the nursery team, creating a positive culture where practitioners feel valued, supported and accountable.
- Oversee the daily running of the nursery, ensuring consistently high standards of care, education and operational effectiveness.
- Use your knowledge and experience to help shape the nursery as we expand, bringing forward ideas and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Ensure our curriculum and learning environments are ambitious, engaging and responsive to the individual needs and interests of our children.
- Maintain the highest standards of safeguarding, health and safety and regulatory compliance.
- Build genuine, trusting relationships with parents and carers, ensuring they feel welcomed, listened to and involved in their child's nursery journey.
- Manage staffing effectively, including rotas, deployment, supervision, performance and professional development.
- Support, coach and develop practitioners, identifying individual strengths and helping team members continue to grow professionally.
- Manage key administrative and operational responsibilities, including budgets, records and nursery systems.
- Promote the nursery within the local community and support continued growth and occupancy.
- Create an inclusive environment where every child is supported to develop emotionally, socially, physically and educationally.
- Continually evaluate the quality of the nursery, celebrating what works well while having the confidence and ambition to make improvements where needed.
About You
We are looking for someone who combines a genuine passion for Early Years with the confidence and experience required to lead a successful nursery.
You will ideally have:
- Proven management or senior leadership experience within an Early Years setting.
- A recognised Early Years qualification at Level 3 or above.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire, coach and bring out the best in others.
- Excellent knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding requirements and Early Years regulatory expectations.
- A strong understanding of what high-quality teaching, learning and interactions look like in practice.
- Experience of working directly with young children and a genuine understanding of their individual developmental needs.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to balance the many different priorities that come with nursery leadership.
- A positive, solution-focused approach and the confidence to make decisions.
- The ambition to continually develop both yourself and the nursery.
Why Join Us?
This is a particularly exciting time to become part of our nursery.
Our expansion means this isn't simply an opportunity to step into an existing management position. It is an opportunity to help shape what comes next.
You will have the scope to bring your own experience, ideas and personality to the role, influence the development of our provision and play an important part in the nursery's continued success.
We want a Nursery Manager who will take pride in their nursery, know their children and families, understand and support their team, and have the ambition to continually strive for something better.
If you are an experienced Early Years leader looking for your next challenge and would relish the opportunity to put your stamp on a growing nursery, we would love to hear from you.
