What you'll be doing
Coaching small group personal training sessions and group fitness classes for members of all abilities
About us
LIFTD is Tarporley's premier personal training facility. We help people who've struggled to get fit in the past — through overwhelm, competing priorities, or one too many false starts — by pairing personalised coaching with a community that keeps them accountable. Our members train together through small group personal training, varied group fitness classes, HYROX-style functional fitness, and our Kids & Teens programme. We believe in real coaching and real results, delivered in a way that's professional, encouraging, and genuinely welcoming.
The role
We're looking for an experienced, community-minded coach to join our team part-time. You'll deliver small group and 1:1 personal training sessions, run group fitness classes, and help members — whatever their starting point — build strength, confidence, and lasting habits. This is a hands-on coaching role at the heart of a gym where relationships and accountability matter as much as programming.
What you'll be doing
- Delivering safe, effective, and motivating sessions, adapting on the fly to different fitness levels and goals
- Building genuine relationships with members and helping create the supportive, community-first atmosphere LIFTD is known for
- Supporting new members through onboarding (e.g. our 30 Day Kickstart) so they start strong and stick with it
- Contributing coaching expertise to HYROX-style functional training and, where relevant, our Kids & Teens programme
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming training environment
What we're looking for
- A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 personal training qualification (REPs/CIMSPA registered)
- Proven coaching experience, ideally including small group training, HYROX/functional fitness, or coaching young people
- A genuine belief in community-driven fitness — someone who can motivate without being intimidating, and make every member feel like they belong
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to coach group sizes as well as 1:1
- Flexible availability — we're happy to discuss hours and days that suit both you and the gym
- First Aid at Work certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
Why LIFTD
- Be part of a close-knit, values-led coaching team, not just another gym franchise
- Real investment in member outcomes and community — you'll see the impact of your coaching
- Flexible part-time hours to fit around your other commitments
- Opportunity to grow into more hours or specialisms (HYROX, small group PT, kids coaching) as the gym grows
If you're an experienced coach who believes fitness is better — and more sustainable — when it's built on community, we'd love to hear from you.
