Laboratory Assistant (Seasonal/Temporary)

Red Recruitment 24:7 are advertising on behalf of a client for a Laboratory Assistant to join a busy and fast-paced harvest laboratory team on a seasonal basis.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is organised, reliable, and looking to gain experience within a laboratory and agricultural environment. Full training will be provided, including industry standards and food safety practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out a range of general laboratory and administrative duties
- Test incoming and outgoing grain, assessing quality against set criteria
- Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports
- Support the day-to-day running of the laboratory operation
- Assist other team members during busy periods or staff absence
- Ensure all work is completed in line with safety and compliance standards
Requirements:
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Reliable with consistent attendance
Previous experience in grain storage or laboratory work is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
