iCare Dental Ltd is a growing private dental practice committed to delivering high-quality patient care while fostering a supportive, compassionate team culture.
We have branches in Docklands/Canning Town (near Royal Victoria DLR station & cable car) and are looking to expand our team with a dedicated Part-Time Dental Nurse.
Open to work on Saturdays, and 2 to 3 days a week.
Ideal Candidate
- Fully GDC registered (mandatory).
- Minimum 2 years of post-qualification UK experience.
- Availability for afternoon/evening sessions and Saturdays is preferred.
- A caring, professional, and team-oriented individual.
Responsibilities & Duties (include but not limited to):
- Chairside assistance to dentists, ensuring smooth clinical procedures.
- Maintain clinical areas, adhering to practice policies and protocols.
- Cleaning surgeries to a high standard with strict cross-infection control.
- Preparing instruments and materials during and after treatments.
- Reception and Front of House cover when required.
- Ensure compliance with CQC and HTM01-05 guidelines.
- Support with surgical and implant procedures (training provided if required).
Required Experience & Skills
- GDC registered.
- DBS clearance.
- Valid indemnity insurance.
- Up-to-date vaccination records.
- Strong communication skills in written and spoken English.
- Friendly, proactive, and enthusiastic with a professional approach.
Job Type
Part-time (afternoon/evening sessions & weekends, with potential for additional days as the practice grows).This role is vital in ensuring our patients receive top-notch care and support throughout their dental journey.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures and ensure patient comfort
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointments
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean working environment
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide excellent patient service
- Handle administrative tasks as needed, including billing and insurance claims
- Participate in continuing education to stay updated with industry standards
- Foster a welcoming atmosphere for all patients.
- Qualifications
- Valid nursing qualification or equivalent experience in dental nursing
- Strong patient care skills with a focus on empathy and compassion
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Familiarity with dental software is a plus.
