What we do
We provide care, recovery and intensive rehabilitation support for Dementia, Learning difficulties. Autism and Mental Health patients. We have care homes in Erith, Lewisham, Belvedere, Orpington Woolwich, Dartford, Gravesend and Sydenham. Our main objective is to support our residents in their day to day living routines and self care, with a view that they will move on to independent living or lower supported living.
What we are looking for-
We are looking for Support Workers to join our Sunrise Connect Outreach service.
Full-time opportunity, up to 45 hours a week, with regular, reliable work and potential to progress into managerial positions within Connect.
- Drive your own vehicle between visits, supporting the same people each week across Bexley, Erith, Welling, Sidcup, Bexleyheath and Dartford.
- Visit rounds are generally 2–5 visits, planned to flow efficiently.
- No nights or sleep-ins. Earliest start is 08:30 and latest finish is 21:30, with a fair mix of shifts. Most days finish earlier.
- Five-day weeks, usually around seven hours a day, with a clear two-week rota to help you plan ahead.
- Support the same people each week and build genuine relationships.
- Work independently and manage your own day.
- A clear, structured round rather than being pulled in different directions.
Job Types: Outreach Support worker
Pay: £13.00 per hour- Visit time
Driving between visits is paid
Mileage paid: 55p per mile for every mile driven
- Mileage payments are separate from wages and, under the applicable tax rules, are paid without tax or National Insurance deductions.
- Mileage is paid monthly with wages using a simple mileage log.
Note: all staff are required to be able to work weekends.

- Talkative, Personable and good at connecting with people
- Strong of character – able to be firm but nice
- Able to influence and motivate people positively
- Adaptable and quick to learn
- Influence positive outcome from difficult situations and challenging people
- Punctual and reliable
- Have experience in administration of medication
- Must hold a Full UK driving licence and your own reliable vehicle.
- Business insurance – Sunrise can help you arrange this and it usually costs little or nothing extra.
- Have experience supporting people with mental health needs.
- Have self-discipline and confidence working independently.
Personal experience in care with members of a family or raising teenage children would also be beneficial.
