HGV Technician / Mechanic – Full-Time
Location: Bristol
Hours: Day Shift | Monday to Friday | 7:30 AM Starts | Approximately 45 Hours/Week
Pay: £20 – £23.50 per hour + optional on-call pay + Bonuses
Ability to obtain Class 1 Licence
We’re looking for a skilled and motivated HGV Technician/Mechanic to join our growing team at our brand-new, modern workshop just Bristol. This is a great opportunity to become part of a tight-knit team of experienced engineers, working in a well-equipped and supportive environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Carrying out MOT preparation, servicing, and repairs on trucks and trailers
- Conducting periodic inspections to DVSA standards
- Diagnosing faults using Texa and Jaltest diagnostic systems
- Operating our DVSA-compliant rolling road brake tester
- If you hold a valid HGV licence: road testing, MOT runs, collections and deliveries
- Optional on-call duties with additional pay
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualification in HGV repair and maintenance (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
- Proven experience as an HGV Technician/Mechanic
- Ideally, a current HGV Class 1 or 2 licence – or willingness to obtain (we’ll put you through it)
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
