Are you passionate about helping people overcome barriers, build confidence and achieve their goals? We are looking for an experienced and motivated Community Tutor to deliver engaging learning programmes for some of Wiltshire's most vulnerable learners, supporting them to develop skills, gain qualifications, and progress into further learning, employment, apprenticeships or volunteering opportunities.
In this rewarding role, you will plan and deliver high-quality learning programmes tailored to individual needs, helping learners achieve their ambitions regardless of their starting point. You will create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that motivates learners, builds confidence and encourages positive progression.
You will assess learners' starting points, adapt teaching and support accordingly, and monitor progress throughout their learning journey. By providing constructive feedback, recognising achievements and offering information, advice and guidance, you will help learners take their next steps into education, training or employment. You will also maintain accurate learner records and work collaboratively with colleagues, community partners and other professionals to maximise learner engagement and outcomes.
We are seeking someone with experience of teaching, training, mentoring or supporting learners, particularly those facing barriers to learning and progression. You will hold an NVQ Level 4 qualification (or equivalent) and have a teaching qualification, or be willing to work towards one. A strong understanding of safeguarding, equality and diversity, Prevent, and health and safety is essential, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check due to regulated activity with children and vulnerable adults. Join us and help people build skills, confidence and brighter futures.
