Carer / Trainee Relief Duty Manager
Schedule:
- Two-week rolling rota of 8-hour and 7-hour shifts (7:00am–3:00pm and 3:00pm–10:00pm)
- Contracted hours per week
- Weekend availability required
- Overtime opportunities available
- Full driving licence

An opportunity has arisen within our team at Perran Bay Care Home for a kind, caring and ambitious individual who is looking to develop their career within the care sector.
This role is ideal for a Carer who is keen to progress. While your primary role will be providing high-quality care and support to our residents, you will also be given training, mentoring and hands-on experience to develop the skills required to be a Relief Duty Manager alongside the Carer role.
As part of your development journey, we will support you to achieve your Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, while providing opportunities to gain leadership experience by covering Duty Manager responsibilities during periods of annual leave, sickness and rostered/contracted weekend duty manager shifts.

About the Role
- Deliver person-centred care and support to our residents.

- Work flexibly across shifts as part of our care team.
- Receive training and support to develop supervisory and leadership skills.
- Gain practical experience undertaking Relief Duty Manager responsibilities when required.
- Work towards a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care, fully supported by us.
About You
- You are kind, compassionate and genuinely care about making a difference to the lives of older people.
- Previous care experience would be beneficial but is not essential, as full training and support will be provided.
- You are motivated to learn, develop new skills and progress your career.
- You have a positive attitude and strong communication skills.
- You hold a full driving licence.
