Digital Print Production Operator - JP Morgan - London - 6-month contract (temp to perm) - PAYE - Onsite
Shift: Late shift, 3pm-11pm, with flexibility to provide cover between 7am-11pm when required.
The Role
We're seeking a Digital Print Production Operator to join JP Morgan in London on an initial 6-month contract, with the potential to become permanent.
This is a hands-on print production role for someone with a solid foundation in digital print who takes pride in producing high-quality work and is keen to develop their skills further.
You'll support end-to-end print production across small format and large format, with opportunities to develop your experience across digital presses, flatbed printing, finishing, bespoke cutting and, where required, graphic installation.
You don't need to be a ready-made all-round expert. We're looking for someone with practical print production experience, a strong eye for detail and quality, and the willingness to learn and build new skills.
Adobe Creative Cloud experience is preferred for basic artwork preparation and prepress, but training can be provided where required.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy, varied production environment and wants to broaden their technical skills as the business expands its large-format, bespoke cutting and premium finishing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
-
Produce high-quality print across small-format digital presses and large-format/flatbed printers, ensuring work meets specification, brand and quality standards.
-
Prepare, amend and preflight artwork using Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, for basic print-ready artwork and file preparation.
-
Check artwork and files for issues including bleed, crop marks, scaling, resolution and print specifications.
-
Support the operation of a Valiani cutter or similar digital cutting equipment, learning accurate set-up, registration and production techniques.
-
Carry out high-quality finishing, which may include cutting, trimming, folding, creasing, collation, basic binding, saddle stitching and perfect binding.
-
Support graphic installation when required, including preparing graphics for installation, handling substrates safely and ensuring accurate placement and a clean finish.
-
Manage job intake, prioritisation, tracking and distribution to meet deadlines and service expectations.
-
Maintain production areas, consumables and inventory, completing basic records and documentation as required.
-
Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure jobs are produced accurately, efficiently and to the required standard.
Operational Support
Print production will be the primary focus of the role, but you may also provide support across mailroom and logistics activities when required, including:
-
Courier bookings, collections and associated manifests/documentation.
-
Operating site equipment as applicable, including printing, scanning, sortation and x-ray equipment.
-
Identifying non-compliant activity, resolving discrepancies and escalating issues appropriately.
-
Following all Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone with practical print production experience, a strong focus on quality and a willingness to develop their skills.

-
Experience in digital print production, small format and/or large format, or a related print production/finishing environment.
-
Practical experience of print finishing, such as cutting, trimming, folding, creasing, binding or collation.

Strong attention to detail and pride in producing work to a high standard.
-
A practical, hands-on approach and the ability to work effectively in a busy production environment.
-
Professional and service-led approach with clear communication skills.
-
Reliable, proactive and able to manage multiple jobs and deadlines.
-
Willingness to learn new equipment, processes and production techniques.
-
Strong respect for confidentiality and control procedures.
Desirable Skills & Experience
-
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, for basic artwork setup and print-ready file preparation.

You'll have the opportunity to broaden your skills through exposure to a varied mix of print production and finishing work, with increasing involvement in large-format production, bespoke cutting and graphic installation.
